Productised Methodology

The X Framework

A four-phase, productised methodology for de-risking complex AEC and manufacturing programmes. Battle-tested across hundreds of projects on four continents, designed to be forwarded internally and used as a shared reference between your delivery team and ours.

Why a framework, not a proposal template.

Suppliers wait for instructions. Experts provide direction. The X Framework is how we provide that direction consistently, regardless of whether the engagement is a contractor automation pipeline, a Tier 1 BIM coordination programme, a manufacturer SKU digitisation rollout, or a DfMA enablement system.

It is the protected methodology behind every GIRIH X engagement: a shared reference your stakeholders can review, challenge and forward internally before a single contract is signed.

The Four Phases

Discover. Design. Build. Operate & Scale.

01

Discover

In our experience, complex AEC and manufacturing programmes fail at three predictable seams. We surface yours, with evidence, before anyone proposes a solution.

02

Design

We engineer the system around your real constraints, your team, your stack, your contractual exposure, not a generic playbook.

03

Build

Production-ready automation, models, dashboards and integrations, with QA, governance and ISO 19650 alignment baked in from day one.

04

Operate & Scale

We deploy, train your people and hand over an asset that compounds across every future project. You own the gain, not a recurring invoice.

Operating Principles

What stays true on every engagement.

Problem before solution

Every engagement starts with a structured Discover phase. We surface the systemic failures, contractual exposure and bottlenecks specific to your programme, with evidence, before anyone proposes a tool.

Automation-first by default

If a workflow is repetitive, it gets engineered out. We build the bespoke automation, scripts, AI agents and pipelines that compress weeks of delivery into hours, on systems your software vendor cannot ship.

ISO 19650 aligned, governance baked in

QA, audit trails, naming, classification and information delivery are designed in from day one, not retrofitted. Production-ready output that survives Tier 1 scrutiny.

Built for handover

Every system we deploy is handed over to your team with training, documentation and a clear governance model. Ownership terms, source access and licensing are defined in the engagement agreement: nothing is one-size-fits-all.

Where it applies

One methodology. Five delivery systems.

Outcomes you can defend in the boardroom

What clients walk away with.

  • Programme compression on the engagements that matter most
  • Coordination risk resolved before you break ground
  • Fabrication-ready output produced 20 to 30 times faster
  • Full SKU ranges digitised once, deployed across every channel
  • Standards, templates and tools governed by clear handover terms in your agreement
  • Measurable, defensible ROI you can present in the boardroom

Run your programme through Phase 1.

Tell us about your current programme and we'll show you exactly where the X Framework would intervene, and the three systemic failures most likely sitting inside your delivery. No obligation, just a clearer view of what to fix first.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How the framework is structured, how it aligns with ISO 19650 and openBIM, and what to expect from a Delivery Diagnostic.

What are the five pillars of the X Framework?

The X Framework runs every engagement through five pillars: Design and Delivery Automation, BIM/VDC and Coordination, Product Digitisation, Complex Geometry and DfMA, and Digital Experience Systems. The pillars are linked by a single operating model: Discover, Design, Build, and Operate and Scale.

Why a framework and not just a list of services?

A framework forces a problem-first sequence. Discover always comes before any tool is proposed, so the system we build addresses the systemic failure, not the symptom. The four phases also make handover predictable: each phase has named deliverables, an explicit governance model and a measurable outcome.

How does the framework integrate with ISO 19650 and openBIM?

Every information deliverable, BEP, model federation, and CDE configuration is aligned to ISO 19650. Where vendor-neutral exchange matters, we deliver IFC-based exports and follow buildingSMART openBIM principles so your data is portable across the supply chain.

What does a Delivery Diagnostic involve?

A 30-minute structured conversation that surfaces the three systemic failures most likely sitting inside your current delivery. We walk you through where the X Framework would intervene, what a first deployment would target, and how ROI would be baselined. There is no obligation to proceed.

How is the framework different from generic digital transformation programmes?

Generic programmes optimise for capability uplift; the X Framework optimises for shipped systems. Each phase ends with a deployed artefact you operate, not a slide deck. We have observed up to 30x speed improvements on fabrication-grade outputs and weeks-to-hours compression on documentation cycles, in line with broader industry productivity findings.
